Device Permission and Capability List

To ensure the implementation of relevant functions of Learnify Link & Receiver and the safe and stable operation of the application, we may request or use certain device operating-system permissions or system capabilities. We will take strict confidentiality and security measures to protect your personal data. The list below may be adjusted from time to time as the Product is updated.

A. Android System Permission List

1.Permission / capability name: android.permission.CAMERA

Description: Camera permission

Purpose: Used to scan QR codes and support photo explanation / photo capture.

Use scenario: QR code connection and photo explanation functions.

2.Permission / capability name: android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO

Description: Microphone permission

Purpose: Used for screen casting to collect system/microphone audio and push it unidirectionally to the receiver.

Use scenario: Mobile screen casting scenarios.

3.Permission / capability name: android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE(maxSdkVersion=32) Description: Read storage permission Purpose: Used to read selected files or images for teaching and file transfer. Use scenario: Selecting local files or images.

4. Permission: android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE Description: Read/write storage permission Purpose: Used to store necessary information such as log information, cache data, and to save received files. Use scenario: Receiving/saving files.

5.Permission / capability name: android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / android.permission.INTERNET / android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

Description: Network permissions

Purpose: Used to access the network, obtain or modify network status and realize network connections.

Use scenario: Connection, screen casting, file transfer and related scenarios.

6. Permission / capability name: android.permission.WAKE_LOCK Description: Wake lock Purpose: Used to prevent the device screen from sleeping during screen casting. Use scenario: Mobile screen casting scenarios.

7.Permission / capability name: android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE / android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PROJECTION / android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE

Description: Foreground service

Purpose: Used to help prevent the app from being killed by the system while running in the background and to maintain continuity of certain functions.

Use scenario: Keeping screen-casting or related functions persistent after startup where supported.

8.Permission / capability name: android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW

Description: Display system window

Purpose: Used to display floating windows or related prompts in supported scenarios.

Use scenario: Floating windows and confirmation pop-ups when screen casting or similar functions are used.

9.Permission / capability name: android.permission.REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES

Description: Install application package

Purpose: Used when a new version of the Product is downloaded and installed.

Use scenario: Version upgrade and reinstallation scenarios.

10.Permission / capability name: android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Description: Notification permission

Purpose: Used to display foreground service notifications.

Use scenario: When the app is running in the foreground or background for screen casting.

B. Apple Platform Permission and Capability List (iOS / iPadOS / macOS)

1.Permission / capability name: NSCameraUsageDescription

Description: Camera permission

Purpose: Used to scan QR codes and support photo explanation / photo capture.

Use scenario: QR code connection and photo explanation functions.

2.Permission / capability name: NSMicrophoneUsageDescription

Description: Microphone permission

Purpose: Used for screen casting to collect system/microphone audio and push it unidirectionally to the receiver.

Use scenario: Mobile screen casting scenarios.

3.Permission / capability name: NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription / NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription / file access capability

Description: Photo library / file access

Purpose: Used to save captured photos to the photo library, select local images or documents, and support file transfer or import/export related scenarios.

Use scenario: Photo upload, saving captured photos, selecting local images/files, receiving or sending files.

4.Permission / capability name: NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription / local network capability

Description: Local network access

Purpose: Used to discover and connect compatible devices on the same network and to support local control, synchronization or transfer functions.

Use scenario: Connection to smart displays or supported terminals, device discovery, local synchronization, and file transfer.

5.Permission / capability name: Screen recording / broadcast / screen-sharing capability

Description: Screen capture / screen sharing

Purpose: Used to capture or share the current device screen when the user initiates screen casting or synchronization.

Use scenario: Mobile screen casting, screen synchronization or similar scenarios.

6.Permission / capability name: General network access capability

Description: Network access

Purpose: Used to access network services and maintain data exchange necessary for login, synchronization, file transfer and related functions.

Use scenario: Login, connection, screen casting, file transfer and related functions.

C. Windows Capability Notice

Because Windows desktop applications may use system capabilities or access paths that differ from mobile operating systems, the Windows version may invoke the following capabilities as required by the actual function design: camera access, microphone access, local network / network access, screen capture or screen sharing, local file access, and related diagnostic logging capabilities.

These capabilities are used to support QR code connection where available, photo explanation, local device discovery, file transfer, screen synchronization, troubleshooting, stable operation and security protection.

The specific prompts, authorization methods and control paths may vary depending on the Windows version, system settings and deployment method. Please refer to the actual Product interface and Windows system settings.
